Trip Safety

Please ensure your safety by informing the trip leader of any medical condition including medications, disability or special needs you have.

First Aid Kits:
The Club has two comprehensive kits and several members hold current first aid certificates. A first aid kit is normally carried by the trip leader.

If you would like to purchase an Outdoor First Aid Book for your personal use, there is one that has been highly recommended.  This is the front page:

The Club has a Personal Locator Beacon. This is taken on all overnight tramps by the trip leader.

See below for instructions for operating the PLB:

Overdue trips:
Note to parents, relatives or friends of members
Should a party be late in returning, please do not worry unduely as there is probably a good reason for the delay.
If you are concerned please contact the Chief Guide or Committee Member

Note to Members:
Members should tell someone where they are going and when they are due back.
Members must ensure that the Club Secretary has a name and phone number of a contact person to notify if the trip is overdue.
